Christophe Charbonnel ° 1967 France
Christophe Charbonnel works without model, but chooses to refer to 19-century manuals for artistic anatomy for which he has a great passion. He creates his work rather by adding material, almost in a scientific manner, by applying successive layers. He reveals the model rather than sculpting or molding it. He studied at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués Duperré in Paris, and was a brilliant student of the sculptor Philippe Seené. He practices his art since more than 20 years and his work is included in important art collections .
